The Gypsy Spot...

I love my Cricut Expressions and love what I can do with my Design Studio, but Cricut has come out with the Gypsy. A portable way to manipulate cricut cuts. I would love to get one of these and am even trying to figure out if I can afford to get one on Black Friday. Today I noticed on The Gypsy Spot they are giving away a FREE Gypsy! That would be great to win one, imagine all the fun things you could create with one. Head on over and enter to win. I'm going to!!

Crafting... what's that?

Well school is back in session for the kids and myself. Between working part-time, doing my school work and homework, helping the kids, being a mom, being a wife, etc., etc. etc. I seem to not have time for crafting (like many of you). I'm hoping to be better about crafting on the weekends, that's my goal at least. I'm thinking I need to make some sort of rewards system for doing my homework and studying.
Anyway on to the crafting...
I like the simplicity of this card (don't like how fuzzy the picture is though, sorry!!) I used divine swirls cuttlebug folder on the top, don't know what papers I used, love the green grosgrain ribbon, and a prima flower. I made about 10 of these and left them blank as I've needed a card I stamp a sentiment in the lower left hand corner.

I've been working on an a Word Wall for the Kindergarten class that I work in-using the Zooballo cricut cartridge, such a fun cartridge. I borrowed it from my sweet sister-in-law and am thinking I need to buy one of my own, I see lots of potential uses. I love the penguins and the koala. Hope to have this done in the next week and will post pictures too!!
I'm going to be doing some blog candy in October so watch for details on that coming soon!!

Cupcake birthday

I used scraps from my scrap file and even ribbon scraps out of my scrap jar for this card, I love when I do that. The stamps are a Close to My Heart set I earned for free back in April love the cupcake, I also used Close to My Heart inks (don't remember the colors though). I think I even used a sheetloads sketch for this card. This was a fun card to put together.
Schools been in session here for 3 weeks and I think I'm finally getting the routine down. Hopefully now that I'm getting back into the swing of things I can get my crafting mojo back and be able to share more current projects.
I'm really excited I ordered 3 new Close to My Heart sets last night. I can't wait to get them and create!!!
Thanks for looking!!! I love comments!!!

1 is fun!

I made this invite to my son's First Birthday party back in April! I love the ribbon on this it's from the Dollar spot at Michael's- I think I bought every color they had of this fun argyle ribbon. I cut the 1 out from Plantin cricut cartridge. I used my Numbers Cuttlebug folder to do the background. Is fun, is stamped from a Close to My Heart alphabet. These were fast, simple and turned out very cute- my favorite kind of cards to make.
Watch for next weeks post, I'm working on some blog candy. Can't wait to share!!
Have a great week!!!

This is our Everyday Heroes Bulletin Board. On this bulletin board each student will bring a poster all about them- it will be displayed for a week. I loved making these fun paper dolls, especially the little accessories for the girls. The letters are cut from Mickey and Friends font cartridge, the paper is Daisy D's (I believe) shadowed in red bazzill. I love how this board turned out, I can't wait to showcase our students on it.
Thanks for looking!!

Baby cards...

Thanks for checking out my blog, it's been fun the last week to watch and see how many people have checked out my blog. Monday I had 100 on my counter and now I'm at over 300+. Thanks for checking out my blog and remember I Love Comments!!!
In June I made a few baby cards to add to my stash and for my monthly card swap. The first three cards I scraplifted from Robyn at http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ I loved these cards they were so easy to make.

I love this giraffe stamp it is from Close to My Heart- It's a Zoo set, baby is stamped from a Close to My Heart alphabet but I can't remember the name, the yellow pattern paper is Kopp Design paper that I've had for 9 years just waiting to be used. I think the brown ink and paper are chocolate from Close to My Heart. I cut the scallop circle and circle out with my cricut from the Mini Monograms cart.
The elephant stamp is from Close to My Heart It's a Zoo set, pink pattern paper is Daisy D's, I used chocolate ink and paper from Close to My Heart. The square scallop and square are from Mini Monograms cricut cartridge.

The elephant is from Close to My Heart It's a Zoo set, the blue pattern paper is Kopp Design again. Chocolate ink and paper is from Close to My Heart, square scallop and the square were cut from Mini Monograms cricut cartridge.

This is my favorite baby card I made. I used a sketch I think from sheetload.blogspot.com I don't remember which month though. The pattern paper is Animal Crackers from Close to My Heart, the inks are Close to My Heart I don't remember which colors I used though. The giraffe stamp is from the It's a Zoo set from Close to My Heart, I bought that set just for this card. As you can tell I loved this set for baby cards. I used staples to attach the red grosgrain and yellow grosgrain ribbons to the card. I love this card it was so fun to put together -plus that giraffe just makes me smile- and can't wait to send this card to someone.
Thanks for looking! I love comments.

Bulletin Board

I work in a Kindergarten classroom as a Teacher's Assistant. This year I did this apple bulletin board. The words are done from Seasame Street Font Sunny Day and I shadowed them in black you can't tell that from the picture. I did an apple for each student cut from Doodlecharms. I freehanded the basket.
It looks really good in person and I had a ton of fun making it.
I'll have to take a picture of the paperdolls I made too. Look for that next week.

Thank you Berry Much!

In June I made these strawberry themed gifts for my kids school teachers. I love strawberries and couldn't resist the cute strawberry on the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge. I bought the cartridge just for the cute strawberry, so of course I had to find something to use the strawberry for. I came up with these fun things:

This is a strawberry plant, the strawberry is on both sides of the Popsicle stick. Cut from Hello Kitty Greetings.

Not the best picture of this cute card but you get the idea. The strawberry is from Hello Kitty Greetings, Pattern Paper is Bo Bunny I've had it a long time so I don't know the line it is from. Papertrey Ink stamps I think the stamp set that this stamp comes from is Greenthumbs. I love Papertrey Ink stamps they are awesome! I bought this stamp set just for the Thank you Berry Much stamp. Red grosgrain ribbon. I loved these thank you cards, super simple to make and very cute!!

This is a covered Kit Kat bar, I found the directions for this at Stampin' With Di's blog http://dianagibbs.typepad.com/stampin_with_di/kit-kat-wrapper/. Love her blog!! I don't know who the papers are made by. The stamps are Papertrey Ink, love that cute strawberry and inks are Close to My Heart I don't remember the colors I used.
I hope to be able to scrapbook some this weekend, but we'll see. Hopefully Monday I'll have some new layouts to share. Have a great weekend and see you Monday!! Don't forget to leave a comment and sign up as a follower!!

Christmas Tags

A couple of weeks ago I found this awesome new blog http://cricutchristmas.blogspot.com/. Everyday they post a project for Christmas done with the cricut. I've loved checking each day for the fun new projects they've done. Not only do they have awesome projects they also have a weekly giveaway. Check it out!!
As part of my monthly swap group we did Christmas tag for the month of August. I decided to do 2 different tags (and might do one more). For this tag I cut the circles out with George, the snowflake is from Accent Essentials and on the back the to and from were cut out from Christmas cheer. I stickled the snowflake. I used bazzill for the blue circle and the snowflake, on the back of the card I used a glittery snowflake paper (not sure who makes it).

Tomorrow I'll post the other tag I made for my swap. Thanks for looking!!!

Scrapbook Pages

I haven't scrapbooked in a long time, so yesterday when my kids were with their Grandma I decided that I'd scrapbook. I had such a relaxing and fun time! I have even scrapbooked some today. My husband was really glad that I used some of the supplies that I've had forever and that I didn't have to go buy anything else.

These are pictures of my daughter sitting all by herself for the first time. I used my Cherish or Imagine book for the sketch. I did this layout for a challenge at http://www.hookedonstamping.com/
I found an old Close To My Heart Kit for the pattern paper. Used my Cricut for the tag and flowers (Plantin Cartridge), Font is Pooh Bear Font.

Because I do pages for 5 books I will often use a sketch 5 times and change the papers used. More Close to My Heart papers, font and flowers Plantin Cartridge.

I found some cute Polar Bear Papers that I had hidden for this page. The font is from the Seasame Street Font. My son is trying to share his popcorn with his sister.

Used an old kit I had from StoryTellers Club, also used one of Close to My Hearts Sketch books (I'm loving those books).

Years ago I did a swap for paper piecing patterns, I've saved them because someday I may use them. Today was that someday. All the little blocks came from that swap. In the left hand corner I still need to journal.

Thanks for looking! I'm really hoping that the scrapbooking streak last for awhile.

Fruity Cards

Every month I participate in a card swap with some friends in the neighborhood. This month the theme was anything fruity or veggie. Here are the 2 cards I made for the swap.

I love strawberries lately. I just can't resist the cute strawberry on the Hello Kitty Greetings cart. I used some old Bo Bunny scraps for the cute plaid background. The strawberry pattern is from DCWV the Sweet stack. I also used Papertrey Ink for the card base. The stamp saying say thank you berry much, its from Papertrey Ink the set is Greenthumbs (I think).

I used my Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge for the cherry, some fibers that I've had for years, and the pattern paper is from Colorbok.
